Account Service Charges & Fees

Member Account Opening Fee

What is this fee?

A one-time joining fee when a person becomes a member and opens an account at the Credit Union. This fee is separate from the permanent shares which all members are required to purchase.

What else do I need to pay to open an account?

In addition to the one-time account opening fee of $2.00, you will need to purchase your permanent shares, currently set at $50.00, and maintain a minimum account balance of $5.00.

Total required: $57.00.

Third Party Transfer Fee

$ 6.00

What is this fee?

A fee is charged for online transfers from a Credit Union account to an external financial institution. $1 of this fee is an unavoidable processing charge the Credit Union must pay for each transfer to another bank. The remaining $5 is the Credit Union’s convenience fee.

Cheque Request Fee

$ 3.50

What is this fee?

A fee is charged to members when they request a cashier’s cheque from the Credit Union via in person, on the phone or email.
